AI Design Services
Design work, sped up without cutting corners
Good design still needs a good designer. What’s changed is speed. Using tools like Figma Make and AI imagery, we get from brief to first concept fast, then our design team refines it to make sure it looks like your brand.
This is for businesses with established branding already in place (brand development sits under our separate Brand Design service). We build an asset library from your logos, colours, fonts and imagery first, so every AI output pulls from your brand rather than guessing at it.
Faster creative work, without losing the quality control a human designer brings.
Our approach
We know where AI helps, and where it doesn't.
AI speeds up the parts of design that used to eat the most time: generating concepts, exploring directions, producing imagery. What it can’t do is judge what actually fits your brand. That’s still down to our team.
1. An asset library built from your existing brand, first.
Before any AI prompting starts, we pull together your logos, colours, fonts, imagery style and tone into a proper asset library. That library is what every AI output gets generated from, so it starts on-brand rather than needing to be forced into shape afterwards.
2. Rapid concepting with Figma Make.
Instead of a single concept after a week of work, we can put multiple directions in front of you within days, giving you more to react to, earlier.
3. AI-generated imagery, properly art-directed.
AI imagery tools generate the raw visuals. Our designers direct, select and refine them, so what you get looks intentional rather than generic.
4. Human refinement before anything is signed off.
Nothing goes to final without a designer reviewing it against your brand guidelines. AI speeds up the process. It doesn’t replace the judgement.
What’s included
Four services, one connected process
Each one works as a standalone service, but they’re built to run together. Pick what your business needs now, and add the rest as it becomes useful.
Brand asset library setup
Building a structured library of your existing brand assets, logos, colours, fonts, imagery style and tone, that every AI-generated output is created from.
Best for: businesses with established branding who haven’t yet organised it into something AI tools can work from.
Rapid concept generation
Multiple design directions produced quickly using Figma Make, giving you more options to choose from earlier in the process.
Best for: campaigns and projects where speed to first concept matters.
AI-generated imagery
Custom imagery and graphics generated to brief, then refined and art-directed by our team.
Best for: businesses needing bespoke visuals without a full photoshoot or illustration budget.
Human-led refinement and brand alignment
Every AI-assisted output is checked and refined by a designer against your brand guidelines before it goes anywhere near final.
Best for: maintaining a consistent, professional look across everything you produce.
Faster campaign and social asset turnaround
Ongoing design support for social, campaigns and marketing materials, produced faster than a traditional design process allows.
Best for: businesses publishing regularly who need design that keeps pace.
The difference it makes
What changes when speed isn't the constraint
Faster concepting doesn’t mean cutting corners, it means the process stops dictating the outcome. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
Concepts in days, not weeks.
What used to take a week of back and forth between brief and first concept can now be on your screen the next day, giving you more time to get the final version right instead of waiting on the first draft.
More options, better decisions.
When concepting is faster, you can afford to see more directions before committing. That usually means a stronger final result, since you’re choosing from genuine options rather than the one thing that got made in time.
Design that keeps up with how often you need to publish.
Businesses posting regularly often outpace what traditional design timelines can support. AI-assisted design closes that gap, so the creative doesn’t become the bottleneck.
How It Works
Our clear process, four clear stages. No surprises.
You’ll always know what stage you’re at, what happens next, and why. No confusion, no guesswork, just a plan you can follow.
Stage One
AI Visibility Audit
We establish exactly where you stand before recommending anything.
A review of how your business currently appears across AI search tools, what content you have, what gaps exist and what your nearest competitors are doing that you aren’t. You get a prioritised action plan before any work begins.
Stage Two
Content & Technical Foundations
Content gaps addressed, schema updated, page structures clarified and E-E-A-T signals strengthened.
This phase builds the foundations that everything else depends on, and in many cases, produces visible improvements in AI visibility relatively quickly.
Stage Three
Authority & Citation Building
Building the brand signals that AI tools look for: citations, mentions and links from sources that AI tools consider credible. This takes time and compounds significantly. We plan it alongside your broader content and SEO activity so nothing is duplicated.
Stage Four
Ongoing Monitoring & Refinement
Monthly reviews of your AI search visibility, adjustments as the tools update and recommendations to maintain and extend your position. AI search rewards consistent attention. This is not a set-and-forget service.
What our clients say
Businesses we've helped grow.
In their own words.
We’ve worked with businesses across a whole range of industries over the years. Here’s what some of them have to say about working with us.
“After 13+ years running a complex business, restaurant, live music and takeaways, we refreshed our website. Unlike my previous designer, Clever Marketing understood my business model first, then designed something that goes above and beyond.”
“Have enjoyed working with Clever Marketing on the the design and build of our new website, and digital marketing. From the creative to the technical, they are an impressive team and, crucially, a pleasure to deal with day-to-day. Would use them again.”
“Having worked with Harry and the team for many years now, we always know that we can reach out with a project and get a quick response and a great piece of work. Everyone is so friendly and eager to help. Matched with competitive pricing its hard to see a reason to not rate them highly.”
“I worked with Clever Marketing on a website for a unique audience. The team were always available to discuss and amend, bringing expertise to guide what best suited our audience. A pleasure to work with, and we’d recommend them.”
“Clever Marketing came highly recommended for our new multi-site website. Despite the complexity, they made it seamless, exceeded expectations and even helped with branding. Now working together on digital marketing.”
“We’ve partnered with Clever Marketing for almost 10 months, using their Google PPC campaigns for our recruitment business, and they’ve exceeded expectations, consistently high-quality enquiries, backed by thorough monthly reports.”
FAQs about our communications strategy services
The questions worth asking before we start managing your AI design.
Do you develop our brand as part of this service?
No. This service is for businesses with established branding already in place. Brand development, logo design, colour palettes, brand guidelines, sits under our separate Brand Design service. If you don’t have that in place yet, that’s where we’d start first.
What's the asset library, and why do we need one?
It’s a structured collection of your existing brand assets, logos, colours, fonts, imagery style and tone, built before any AI prompting begins. AI design tools need something to pull from. Without a proper library, AI output tends to drift from your brand rather than reflect it.
Will AI-generated imagery look generic?
Not once it’s been properly art-directed. Raw AI output can look generic. What we deliver has been selected, refined and checked by a designer against your brand, which is what stops it looking like everyone else’s AI imagery.
Does this replace your regular design team?
No. It speeds up the early stages. The judgement, refinement and final sign-off still comes from a human designer who understands your brand.
What is Figma Make?
It’s a tool that generates design concepts quickly from a brief, which we use to explore directions fast before refining the best ones properly.
Can you use this for brand-critical work, like our logo?
We’d recommend a fully human-led process for anything as brand-critical as a logo. AI-assisted design is best suited to campaign assets, social content and imagery where speed matters more than a from-scratch brand identity.
How much faster is this than your usual design process?
It varies by project, but concepting typically moves from around a week to a couple of days. Refinement still takes the time it needs to get right.
