SEO Services for Reading Businesses.
Technical SEO, content, AI search visibility and local SEO, built to get your business found by the people already looking for you, wherever in Hampshire you’re based.
If you have the brief, we have the solution
A full service team of specialists, built to deliver.
A site can be in great shape today and slip months later, a competitor publishes stronger content, an algorithm update shifts what’s rewarded, a technical issue creeps in unnoticed. Treating SEO as a project with a defined end date misses that reality. We approach it as ongoing work, because that’s genuinely what keeps results stable rather than slowly eroding.
That doesn’t mean endless busywork for its own sake. It means regularly checking what’s actually changed, in your market and in how search behaves, and adjusting the strategy accordingly rather than running the same playbook indefinitely regardless of whether it’s still the right one.

The Clever way
Built around your business, not a generic process.
The process below starts with the same audit-led approach as any new engagement, but it’s designed to continue rather than wind down once the first round of fixes is complete.
Step 1
Discovery & research
We start with a thorough audit covering technical health, existing content, backlink profile and current visibility across standard and AI search, establishing a clear baseline that we’ll continue to track and compare against over time.
Step 2
Design &
development
From the audit, we build a prioritised plan covering technical fixes, content addressing real customer questions, and structured data helping search engines and AI tools understand your business, with the plan built to evolve rather than stay fixed.
Step 3
Delivery & results
We report regularly on rankings, traffic and enquiries, alongside AI search visibility, and we revisit the strategy itself periodically rather than running the same approach indefinitely regardless of whether your market or search behaviour has shifted.
FAQs about our website design & development services
The questions worth asking before you commit.
What's the difference between SEO, technical SEO, local SEO and AI SEO, and how do you keep up with Google's changes?
SEO is the umbrella, and underneath it sit a few distinct jobs. Technical SEO covers site speed and structure, AI SEO is about getting mentioned when people ask AI tools questions instead of searching Google directly, and local SEO is about showing up for people searching near you, through your Google Business Profile, listings and map results specifically. We treat these as one connected strategy rather than isolated tasks, and we keep up with Google’s changes by testing on our own client sites rather than following whatever’s being repeated across the industry.
How long does SEO take to show results, and do you guarantee first page rankings?
Honestly, longer than most agencies admit up front. Early technical fixes can bring quick wins, but proper movement in rankings and enquiries usually takes three to six months, sometimes more in a competitive market. We’ll give you a realistic timeline for your actual market rather than a sales pitch. On guarantees, no, we don’t promise first page rankings, and any agency that does is telling you what you want to hear rather than the truth, since nobody can guarantee a specific Google position. What we can promise is a properly resourced strategy and honest reporting on what it’s achieving. If you’ve been hit by an update and rankings have dropped, we’ll check whether it’s genuinely algorithm related, then build a recovery plan, though there’s rarely a quick fix once that’s confirmed.
Can SEO work alongside paid advertising, and do we still need it if we're already ranking on page one?
Yes, and we’d actually recommend running both. Paid gives you visibility straight away while SEO builds it over time, and when we manage both together, the keyword and audience data from one feeds the other, which makes your budget work harder overall. The difference is that organic results appear because Google judges them relevant, you don’t pay for the click, while paid results are there because someone bid for that spot. And yes, ongoing SEO still matters even if you’re ranking well already, because those positions aren’t fixed. Competitors keep investing, Google keeps updating its algorithm, and a page one spot left unattended tends to slip. Ongoing work also uncovers new opportunities your site isn’t capturing yet, which is often where the real gains are hiding.
What's involved in a technical audit, how much does page speed matter, and what would you fix first on most sites?
A technical audit looks at page load speed, whether search engines can crawl and index the site correctly, overall structure, and any hidden errors quietly holding rankings back. If it’s been over a year since the last one, that’s usually the fastest starting point, since problems found here tend to fix quickly and show results quickly too. Page speed matters more than most people realise, Google’s confirmed it as a ranking factor since Core Web Vitals arrived, and a slow site loses visitors before they’ve even seen what you offer. The first fix is usually broken conversion tracking, missing or duplicated titles, or a structure hiding your most important pages.
How does Google decide which sites to rank, and where do backlinks and things like page structure fit in?
Google uses hundreds of signals, but they mostly boil down to relevance, authority and technical quality. Relevance means your content actually answers the search. Authority comes from other credible sites linking to yours and your site’s general reputation. Technical quality is how well the site is built and how good it feels to use. Backlinks remain one of the strongest authority signals, though quality matters far more than quantity, one link from a reputable site beats dozens from low grade directories, and anything promising hundreds of links fast will likely cause harm later. Then there’s what happens on your own pages, titles, headings, content, internal links and speed, versus factors outside your site like those backlinks. Both need attention, ignoring either one leaves something significant on the table.
What does keyword research actually involve, how do you measure whether SEO is working, and does a blog help?
Keyword research involves working out what people are actually typing into search, and it’s often surprisingly different from assumption. We weigh up volumes, competition and shifting intent across phrases, prioritising searches likely to bring genuine enquiries over pure traffic, which shapes page structure and content from the ground up. Success is measured through organic traffic, ranking movement and, above all, actual enquiries and sales, since a converting position three page beats a position one page that nobody buys from. A blog is worthwhile if it answers real customer questions, generic posts nobody’s searching for just add upkeep.
What's the risk with cheap SEO, can you help with content too, what about duplicate content, and what happens if we redesign the site?
Cheap SEO usually involves shortcuts, automated links, spun content, stuffed keywords, exactly what Google actively penalises, and clawing back from a penalty costs considerably more than doing it properly the first time. We handle content and technical work together rather than separately, so the content plan grows directly out of the keyword research with solid foundations in place. Duplicate content is more common than assumed, particularly on shops with multiple product versions, handled through canonical tags and a proper audit. A site redesign is a common cause of ranking drops, usually broken redirects or lost content, so bring us in before the build rather than after.
How do you get us ranking locally, and can you look after our Google Business Profile for us?
Yes, that’s exactly what local SEO covers, and it’s a core part of what we do. We handle your Google Business Profile directly, get you listed properly across the sites that matter and build your content so search engines understand where you operate and who you’re trying to reach. That side of things matters just as much as your general rankings, maybe more, if most of your customers live nearby. Your Google Business Profile is that listing that pops up when someone searches for your type of business on Maps or in local results, and for a lot of local businesses it’s honestly worth more day to day than where the website itself ranks, simply because it shows up before the normal search results even load. We keep it accurate, updated and properly maintained as part of the ongoing work, since that’s one of the cheapest and most effective things we can do for a client’s visibility, and it’s usually one of the first things we sort when we take on a new account.
The next step
It’s time to be more clever with your marketing.
Are you ready for a clear-eyed look at where you are, what’s possible, and what a structured plan to get there would look like for your marketing to help you grow? The first conversation costs nothing and comes with no obligation to work together. If there’s a fit, we’ll both know it quickly.
On our discovery call we’ll cover:
- Where you want the business to be in the next 12 to 24 months and what your website needs to do to support that.
- An honest view of how well your current site is serving your commercial goals.
- What a new site would look like, what it would involve, and what to expect at every stage.
You’ll leave with a clear view of the next steps, whether that’s working with us or not.
