Paid advertising across Google, Bing, Meta and LinkedIn, built to put your budget where it actually works.
If you have the brief, we have the solution
A full service team of specialists, built to deliver.
When a campaign underperforms, the instinct is often to rewrite the ad, try a new headline, test a different image. Sometimes that helps, but more often the real issue is who the ad is being shown to in the first place. No amount of clever copy fixes an audience that was never likely to convert.
We diagnose performance problems by looking at targeting first, since that’s usually where the actual leak is, rather than assuming the creative is automatically to blame.

Businesses we've helped grow.
Every case study on this page is a real client who came to us with a real problem, an enquiry pipeline that wasn’t pulling its weight, a website nobody could find, a brand that looked like everyone else’s. Here’s what we did about it, and what happened next.
Who we work with
Meet your PPC agency near Farnham.
Creative gets blamed for problems that often sit elsewhere. We start with targeting across every platform we manage:
- Google Advertising - Right in front of people searching for you.
- Microsoft Advertising - Reach people on Bing at lower cost.
- LinkedIn Advertising - Talk to the decision-makers you actually want.
- Meta Advertising - Ads that don't feel like ads.
- Account setup and reporting - Know exactly what your spend is doing.

What our clients say
Businesses we've helped grow.
In their own words.
Great work is built on strong relationships and open collaboration. Over the years we’ve worked with businesses across a range of industries, and here’s what some of them have to say about partnering with us.
“After 13+ years running a complex business, restaurant, live music and takeaways, we refreshed our website. Unlike my previous designer, Clever Marketing understood my business model first, then designed something that goes above and beyond.”
“Have enjoyed working with Clever Marketing on the the design and build of our new website, and digital marketing. From the creative to the technical, they are an impressive team and, crucially, a pleasure to deal with day-to-day. Would use them again.”
“Clever Marketing came highly recommended for our new multi-site website. Despite the complexity, they made it seamless, exceeded expectations and even helped with branding. Now working together on digital marketing.”
“We’ve partnered with Clever Marketing for almost 10 months, using their Google PPC campaigns for our recruitment business, and they’ve exceeded expectations, consistently high-quality enquiries, backed by thorough monthly reports.”
“I approached Clever Marketing to help me with our Google Ads Campaign. Brian, Harry and Nico were efficient, professional and great with communication at all times from start to finish during the setup. I would highly recommend them to any business looking to use a marketing company to enhance their services.”

The Clever way
Built around your business, not a generic process.
If a campaign isn’t performing, our first question is who it’s actually being shown to, not whether the headline needs rewriting. That order matters, because fixing the wrong problem wastes time and budget both.
Step 1
Discovery & research
We start by understanding your margins, your ideal customer and what a good enquiry actually looks like, building a clear picture of who the targeting should actually be aimed at before any creative work begins.
Step 2
Design &
development
From there, we build the account structure, audience targeting, ad copy and landing pages needed to convert that intent into enquiries, with targeting decisions made deliberately and checked before the creative gets too much attention. We agree the platforms, budget split and targets upfront.
Step 3
Delivery & results
Once live, campaigns are reviewed and optimised continuously, and when something isn’t converting well we look at the audience before we look at the ad. You get clear, regular reporting that tells you what your budget is returning and where it’s working hardest.
FAQs about our website design & development services
The questions worth asking before you commit.
Which platform suits my business, and does that change if we're in a niche market?
It comes down to what you’re trying to achieve. Google suits people already searching with intent, Meta suits visual products and audience led targeting, LinkedIn is the most direct route to B2B decision makers, and Bing often gets overlooked but reaches a genuinely more affluent audience at a lower cost per click. We’ll recommend whichever platform or combination genuinely fits your goals rather than whatever suits us. In a niche market, targeting can often be tighter with less competition, and we’ll say honestly if a niche looks too small to bother with first.
What budget do we need, and how quickly will we see results?
There’s no single answer on budget since it depends on your market, your margins and what you’re aiming for. Generally speaking, a campaign needs enough spend behind it to generate proper data to optimise from, and we’ll say so plainly if a proposed figure won’t get you where you want to be. On timing, you’ll often see activity within days of going live, but the first four to six weeks are really a learning period while the campaign gathers data. Real commercial results tend to build over the first two to three months as we refine what’s working and cut what isn’t.
We tried Google Ads before and it didn't work. Can you audit our account or take over an existing one?
Usually it didn’t work because the account was set up then left alone, or the budget was too thin to ever generate useful data. Properly managed paid advertising is one of the most controllable and measurable ways to bring in new business, and we’re happy to show you what we’d change before you commit to anything. If you’ve got an existing account, we can take it over rather than starting again, which often works out better since it keeps historical data that helps with optimising. We’ll audit everything first, current structure, keywords, audience settings, ad copy, landing pages and tracking, and give you a straight view of what’s working and what’s wasting budget before deciding whether to rebuild or improve what’s there.
Do you handle B2B advertising, and can you work alongside our own marketing team?
Yes, B2B is a solid part of what we do, reaching decision makers through Google, Bing and LinkedIn specifically. It needs a different approach entirely to consumer campaigns, longer sales cycles, smaller audiences, higher value conversions, so we build the strategy around that reality. We’re also comfortable working alongside an internal team, whether they handle certain channels while we manage others, or you want us working directly alongside them on the same campaigns. Either way we agree clearly upfront who owns what, so nothing gets duplicated or falls between the gaps.
What are your contract terms, and will you actively manage the account?
We work to a minimum three month initial term, then move onto rolling monthly arrangements after that. Paid advertising genuinely needs time to learn and optimise, and we’ve seen too often what happens when a campaign gets pulled before it’s had a proper chance to perform, so the initial term protects that. Once it’s live, management is active rather than a once a month check in. That means adjusting bids, refining audiences, testing different ad variations, cutting what’s underperforming and scaling whatever’s working. A monthly glance simply isn’t enough to get proper value from a budget, and it’s not really how we like to operate.
What's the difference between search and display ads, and how do you approach keywords and remarketing?
Search ads appear when someone’s actively typing a query, catching intent that already exists, the strength that platforms like Google Ads are built around. Display ads show up across websites, apps and YouTube, better suited to building awareness or staying visible with past visitors. Most campaigns use a mix of both. For keywords we start with your margins and what a good conversion is worth, then research volume, competition and likely cost per click before building a list around profitable enquiries.
Can we run ads on Instagram too, and what about landing pages and creative?
Yes, Meta Ads covers Facebook and Instagram from one platform, so campaigns run across both at once, though we’ll advise on where your audience is genuinely more active since one doesn’t always land the same as the other. For landing pages, a dedicated page matching the specific ad and audience beats a generic homepage, which rarely converts as well, and we build these into the campaign setup. On creative, copy gets written around actual intent rather than generic messaging, testing variations against the data.
How do you track results, and what reporting do we get?
We set up conversion tracking before anything goes live, recording the actions that matter to your business such as form completions, phone calls or purchases, then feed that back into the platforms so we can optimise towards it properly. Without that in place, you’re really just guessing at what your budget is doing. On reporting, you’ll get clear updates showing what the budget has returned, how things are tracking against agreed goals and what we’re doing next, all written in plain English rather than handing you a wall of platform metrics to decode yourself. How often you get this is something we agree with you directly, built around how you actually work rather than a fixed slot we impose.
The next step
If your paid advertising budget isn't generating the enquiries you need, let's change that.
Whether you’re running campaigns that aren’t delivering, starting paid advertising for the first time, or simply not confident your current agency is managing things as well as they should be, the first conversation is the right place to start.
We’ll take an honest look at your current activity, where the opportunities are and whether there’s a stronger way to use your budget. If there is, we’ll explain exactly what we’d change and why.
On our discovery call we’ll cover:
- Where you want the business to be in the next 12 to 24 months and what your website needs to do to support that.
- An honest view of how well your current site is serving your commercial goals.
- What a new site would look like, what it would involve, and what to expect at every stage.
You’ll leave with a clear view of the next steps, whether that’s working with us or not.
