CityDefend are a start-up technology company offering Searchable Encryption-as-a-Service, and they approached Clever Marketing to assist them in creating two animated videos. a full brand identity along with a website and assets designed to position them as a major player in ultra-competitive cloud data security market. As a start-up CityDefend were under pressure to deliver ROI to their investor base and their current website content was focussed on the technical aspects of the solutions rather than the business benefits. Our brief was to deliver a brand and associated assets that could enable them to fully realise the potential of their solution.

The major challenge of this project was to effectively communicate the business benefits of a complex technology solution in a way that would be equally relevant for both a technical and non-technical audience.

In order to do this, we first needed to fully understand the solution on offer and find a way of communicating the business benefits of this complex solution in a concise and engaging format. We did this by identifying the four main pillars of their offering and break them down into simple “needs based” solution sectors.

The results of the project have been immediate and obvious. The new fully optimised website has been received with enthusiasm by both the owners of City Defend and their investment partners.
