MANAGING DIRECTOR, 7Lakes Country Park
Our Approach
Tucked away in scenic woodlands and surrounded by peaceful fishing lakes, 7 Lakes Country Park offers premium static caravans as well as private plots for owners to bring their own. Renowned for its strong social media presence and regular television features, 7 Lakes blends the calm of countryside living with the warmth of a close-knit community. Our partnership began when they approached us for a new website, and it soon grew to include brochures and SEO projects, but the real success came from our paid advertising services.
7Lakes was running advertising campaigns that were poorly optimised, resulting in significant weekly losses and inconsistent lead generation. We identified these inefficiencies and proposed a solution: we could restructure their campaigns to reduce costs substantially while targeting the right audience more effectively, ultimately saving them considerable money and improving their lead quality.
We implemented a comprehensive dual-channel strategy across Google and Meta, launching targeted campaigns focused on caravan ownership and brand awareness to drive quality leads. We also established a retargeting campaign to recapture the attention of users who had previously engaged with their content.
The primary challenge emerged when we discovered that most enquiries were for holiday rentals rather than caravan sales. This prompted deeper investigation, which revealed several interconnected issues: their Google Business profile was incorrectly configured, and caravan owners within the park were independently advertising their units for rental while directing inquiries through the client’s website.
Addressing these problems required significant digital remediation work that extended well beyond our original project scope. We had to reconfigure their online presence, clean up conflicting listings, and implement measures to separate rental inquiries from genuine sales prospects. While this additional work wasn’t part of our initial strategy, resolving these foundational issues became critical to ensuring the advertising campaigns could function effectively and deliver the intended results.
The Results
Clever Marketing successfully achieved every objective we set out to accomplish. We significantly improved user engagement and experience across all platforms while effectively reducing holiday rental inquiries. Most importantly, we delivered a substantial increase in qualified leads through phone calls and form submissions via Google and Meta campaigns.
These results positioned 7Lakes strongly in the market, ultimately enabling them to sell their business to Unity Holidays. We continue to provide ongoing support for the combined operation, and there are active discussions about expanding our partnership even further as the business grows under new ownership.
