Luxury architecture portfolio that matches the work
inside it.

Andrew Malcolm Architecture is a boutique practice designing high-end residential and commercial spaces. They came to us needing something they’d never had before: a website. For years, word of mouth had been enough. But they were growing, and serious clients wanted to see the work before picking up the phone. They needed a digital presence that didn’t just exist – it had to be worthy of what they actually do.

The challenge

Starting from nothing, aiming for everything.

Andrew Malcolm had built an enviable reputation without a website. But reputation doesn’t scale the same way online. New clients, collaborating architects, developers, they all wanted to see the portfolio before engaging. Building from scratch meant no existing brand to lean on, no visual guidelines to follow. We had to create something that felt premium, felt intentional, and felt like theirs.

The bigger challenge was more conceptual. How do you present a design practice online in a way that doesn’t feel like a corporate portfolio? How do you show the thinking behind the work, not just the finished buildings? And how do you build something that impresses both the studio and the serious clients they’re targeting?

They wanted to be blown away. Not by flashiness. By quality.

The solution

Let the work do the talking.

We started with the brand. No logos or corporate identity – just clear thinking on what makes their practice different and how to communicate that without noise. Clean typography, considered colour palette, and space. A lot of space. The kind of restraint that reads as confident.

The portfolio became everything. Each project presented as a story. High-quality imagery, the concept behind the design, and the thinking process. Not just “we built this.” But “here’s why we built it this way, and here’s what it means.”

We built flexibility in from the start. As they develop new work and explore concepts, the site grows with them. New projects slot in seamlessly. Concepts and iterations can sit alongside finished work. It’s a living portfolio, not a static showreel.

The design itself stays purposeful. No unnecessary pages, no corporate padding. A serious client can find what they need instantly. Another architect can understand the practice’s philosophy in minutes. Every detail serves the work.

What our client’s saying….

“We do a lot of our talking through images, and Clever Marketing built us a site that finally does that photography justice. Nothing fights for attention, the layout just gets out of the way and lets the projects speak. It feels considered in the same way our buildings are. Exactly what an architecture practice needs.”

The result

From word of mouth to something that sells itself.

The site went live to immediate impact. Serious prospects started coming in through the web. Other architects reached out about collaboration. Most importantly, when they did pick up the phone, potential clients had already seen the work and understood the thinking behind it.

They’re not just blown away, they’ve got a business development tool that works as hard as they do. Word of mouth got them here. The website is what gets them where they’re going.
